Graduate Certificate in Dispute Resolution for Non-Lawyers

Conflict exists in all fields and settings.  Successful leaders and other professionals must develop the skills necessary to identify conflict, understand its causes, and address it through various problem-solving methods that enhance the relationships among members of their workplace.  Businesses and other organizations understand that effective conflict management and dispute resolution are essential to the well-being of their communities and, accordingly, to workplace productivity. 

This online certificate can either be a stand alone certificate, or can be a "stackable certificate" as part of a master's degree program.

Requirements

To complete the certificate, a student must take a total of twelve credits, which amounts to four courses.  Three of those courses are required; one may be chosen from the list of approved electives below.  Requests to substitute an in-seat course for one below must be approved by the advisory committee.
