Graduate Certificate in Public Health
Requirements
This 12-credit-hour program provides students with the core public health education that they need to enhance their professional knowledge. The certificate program includes the following courses:

Students must complete the certificate requirements above with an average GPA of 3.0 or higher to earn the Graduate Certificate in Public Health. Student who wish to transition from the Graduate Certificate in Public Health to the Master of Public Health Program must complete all certificate courses with grades of B (3.0) or higher.
Financial Aid from the Program
Some programs require an extra form or statement from those who wish to be considered for internal assistantships, fellowships or other funding packages. Check the program website or ask the program contact for details.
Admission
The Public Health program application process begins in SOPHAS (Centralized Application Service for Public Health Programs).
Applying to the Graduate Certificate Program
Students who complete their Graduate Certificate program with a cumulative 3.0 or better GPA may transfer into the MPH program without needing to submit a new application for admission. Students should work closely with the MPH Academic Advisor (publichealth@missouri.edu) to ensure that courses taken toward their graduate certificate will also count toward their MPH program.
