Latin Honors

Campus-wide Latin Honors requirements will be followed for undergraduate students. Official honors will be determined after graduate's final semester is completed. The following Latin Honors requirements will be effective across every school and college on campus.

Students are required to complete 30 credit hours of MU-authored courses and the GPA is calculated based on the GPA of Record*. The following GPA cutoffs apply:

• Cum Laude: 3.600-3.799
• Magna Cum Laude: 3.800-3.899
• Summa Cum Laude: 3.900-4.000

*For students enrolled in an accelerated program, the Latin Honors GPA will also include post-baccalaureate graduate courses taken while also enrolled as an undergraduate student. The GPA of record will not be adjusted.
