ME in Engineering
The College of Engineering offers the Master of Engineering degree for graduate students interested in a terminal master's degree, who have a demonstrated need for a professional, non-research degree in engineering.
The Master of Engineering degree is offered so that students can select courses in areas of their choice with approval of their faculty advisor. The faculty advisor must be in one of the departments in the College of Engineering.
Degree Requirements
A total of 30 hours of coursework is required. Students may choose courses which are approved by their advisor. The advisor should be a member of the graduate faculty affiliated with a department within the College of Engineering. Departmental affiliations do not appear on the transcript or diploma.
Course requirements
- A minimum of 15 hours of courses must be taken at the 8000 level.
- At least 21 course credit hours must be taken from courses in the College of Engineering.
- The remaining courses should be taken at the 7000 level or higher.
All courses should be selected in consultation with a College of Engineering faculty advisor. A program of study must be approved by a College of Engineering department. Thesis and problems credit hours (typically numbered 8990 or 8085 respectively) do not satisfy the course requirements for the ME in Engineering.
ME Entrance requirements
- GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale in the last 60 hours of the BS program
- Minimum GRE scores may vary according to area.

How to Apply
