Graduate Certificate in School Librarianship
The Graduate Certificate in School Librarianship prepares Missouri certified teachers to move into school librarianship by completing the four courses necessary to obtain school library media certification from the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Through these courses, students will explore the foundations of librarianship and the information professions, including historical and ethical challenges; will develop rationales and strategies for developing and organizing school library collections; and will learn how to manage and administer a school library program.
Requirements
To earn the certificate, students must complete all of the following courses with a grade of C or better.
