Certificate in Fashion Buying

The Fashion Buying Certificate equips students with foundational skills in merchandising, trend analysis, inventory planning, and vendor relations, preparing them for entry-level careers in fashion buying and omnichannel retail operations. Students learn how to select products, build assortments, and analyze sales to support business profitability. The certificate equips graduates for roles in buying, merchandising, and boutique or digital store management.

Requirements

The Certificate of Fashion Buying consists of 12 credits, which should be taken at MU. Students must meet the minimum GPA requirements for a certificate, which in no case can be lower than 2.0. Additionally, a student cannot receive a grade lower than a C- in any course applied toward a certificate in the College.
