Certificate in Technical Theatre
Certificate in Technical Theatre offers students foundational training in both artistic and technical aspects of theatre. It is designed for students seeking practical experience in scene construction, stage management, an understanding of the design process and focused theatrical skills. The program provides a structured pathway for students pursuing careers in theatre, film, or related creative industries, or for those augmenting studies in Communication, English, Event Management, Architecture, Education, and more.
Requirements
The Certificate of Technical Theatre consists of at least 15 credits; at least 15 credits must be taken in MU course work. Students must meet the minimum GPA requirements for a certificate, which in no case can be lower than 2.0. In addition, a student cannot receive a grade lower than a C- in any course applied towards a certificate in the College. For more information, please see Requirements for an Optional Certificate.
