Externships - Veterinary Medicine
Students from other colleges of veterinary medicine desiring an externship or participation in one or more instructional periods of the segmented curriculum must be accepted by the section/department involved. Our visiting students page provides more information about available programs. The University of Missouri will not provide insurance coverage for any externship.
Students from colleges with animal health technician training programs desiring an internship in the Veterinary Health Center will be considered upon proper application through the director of that program. They must be enrolled in and paying fees at their college, be evaluated by their director in consultation with the involved departmental unit during the externship period while allowing full utilization of their expertise in the hospitals' operations. https://cvm.missouri.edu/veterinary-medicine-and-surgery/veterinary-technician-externship/ (CVM Executive Committee, 1986)
