Minor in Learning Technologies

The Minor in Learning Technologies introduces undergraduate students to the use and design of technology-enhanced learning experiences across K–12, higher education, workplace training, and informal learning settings. The minor is open to undergraduates from all areas of study and supports both pre-service teachers and students pursuing careers in other professional fields where learning, communication, and training are central.

Requirements

To earn a Minor in Learning Technologies from the School of Information Science and Learning Technologies (SISLT), an undergraduate student must meet the following requirements:

  • Complete a minimum of 15 credit hours in Learning Technologies (ISLT) coursework.
  • Complete a minimum of 6 credit hours at the 3000 level or above.
  • Earn a grade of C– or better in each course applied to the minor.
  • Up to six transfer credits, approved by the ISLT advisor, may be applied toward the minor.
  • A minor must be completed and awarded at the same time as the MU undergraduate degree (i.e., minors cannot be claimed after graduation).
  • Complete 8 credit hours of required courses and 7 credit hours of advisor-approved electives as described below.
